The Representative Office of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pte. Ltd. was set up in Vietnam in July 2002 following the merger of two pharmaceutical corporations SmithKline Beecham and Glaxo Welcome in January 2001.

As well as this, GSK also participates in clinical trials, educational programs and activities to help combat antimicrobial resistance, all in cooperation with various Vietnamese hospitals & associations to improve the practice of medicine & value of prevention.
